Welcome to our garden retreat at Aurum, situated in Bannockburn and surrounded by local wineries and historic gold mining sites. Our location is 5 minutes drive from Cromwell in Central Otago; the tourist centres at Lake Wanaka and Queenstown are 40 and 50 minutes drive away respectively.

Aurum provides warm and sunny guest living in a private and self-contained unit.

For your own privacy, we accommodate only one group of guests at any time.

Maurice is a scenic artist who has exhibitions throughout New Zealand, and Janet loves sharing the garden and meeting people.

Aurum Homestay offers you private self contained guest living with two bedrooms and a sitting room, big bathroom with bath, tea making facilities, fridge, microwave and TV.
A Continental breakfast will be served when it suits you.

Maurice Middleditch is a landscape artist who works in oils and watercolour. His work can be seen in the Canterbury Museum and the Antarctic Visitors Centre at Christchurch Airport, as well as in many galleries and exhibitions.
The Central Otago countryside has always been an inspiration for Maurice with its dramatic light and distinctive landforms. His work is for sale at Aurum Gallery.
